God

Who Is God?

The question many people ask in life is who or what is God? The reality is that no human being really knows with absolute certainty who or what God is. Many people have strong convictions about who God is and say to have found the one and only true God. Many wars have been fought over what is the correct version of who God is and who we should all believe in. Many people will tell you that you need to have faith in God, but with so many choices and convinced believers for each choice, which God is the one that we should have faith in? You may have heard other say "just have faith in God", but having faith in one version of God vs. another is still is a choice even if you make the choice of not learning of the potential options.

Which religious group has the "true" version of God? Are any of the stories of who or what God is right? And why has there been so many different beliefs all over the world? Could it be that God has sent different messages for different groups of people with each religion being right for that group of people at that particular place and time? Maybe God is just trying to find ways to help us all love and respect each other and enjoy this world that has been created. After all, if God did knowingly create all of us aren't we all really part of God? Aren't we and every living thing all his children or pieces of God?

Could God be an authoritative personality that asks us to follow his direction? Could God (or the creator) just be some accident that happened to spawn this universe? Is God just a passive God that created the universe and a system of natural dependency between living things and then let things go as they might with little or no intervention? So many possibilities, but no one amongst us will ever know for certain during their life.

Since nobody really knows for certain whom or what God is, it is important that we all be respecting of each others beliefs and listen to each others ideas as we're all trying to figure out how and why we're here. We all have hope for happiness and love. Hate and destruction have no place in a world that any loving God would have created. Hurt and destruction on groups of people have a snowball effect over the generations for groups of people. Respect and love all that has been created (including yourself) and all will be well.
